Violinist Wyatt Underhill is the assistant concertmaster of the San Francisco Symphony, and was acting associate concertmaster from 2022-2025. Prior to joining the SFS, he held the titles of assistant concertmaster and acting associate concertmaster with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and associate concertmaster with Symphony in C.

Estelle Choi

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, cellist Estelle Choi has garnered top prizes as a soloist and as a chamber musician. She has gained international recognition as a founding member of the Calidore String Quartet, an ensemble that celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2020.

Sayaka Tanikawa

Piano

Noted for her sensitive and thoughtful approach, pianist Sayaka Tanikawa enjoys an active career as a recitalist and chamber musician in the United States and abroad.

Meredith Kufchak

Viola

Meredith Kufchak joined the Dallas Symphony Orchestra as principal viola in 2019. Prior to her move to Dallas, she spent one season as a member of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

Matt Young

Viola

Matt Young is a member of the San Francisco Symphony viola section and is a faculty member at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. His students have recently won jobs in the Atlanta, California, Dallas, Fort Worth, Jacksonville, Geneva, Pittsburgh, and Santa Rosa symphonies.
